ABSTRACTS
Authors are invited to submit abstract(s) of planned contributions. The format of the abstract should follow the instruction in the abstract template.
Abstracts can be uploaded on-line here or emailed to the Conference Secretary
The deadline for abstracts submission is Monday 6th March 2010. Authors will be notified about the acceptance of their contributions (as either talks or posters) by Friday 26th March 2010. Accepted abstracts will be made available on the conference home page. The Book of Abstracts will be distributed to participants at registration.
MANUSCRIPTS OF CONFERENCE PAPERS
Authors who wish to submit full papers for publication in the Conference Proceedings should send the text by e-mail to the Conference Secretary before Monday 21st June 2010. Two paper copies should be delivered to the Conference Secretary on the first day of registration, Monday 28th June 2010. The format of the paper should follow the conference paper template. The papers will be refereed by referees selected from the conference participants.
PRESENTATIONS
Conference presentations will include:

Invited talks - 30 minute presentations given by experts from the PIXE community presenting recent results within the field of a particular session.

Contributed talks - 20 minute presntations giving new achievements in PIXE and its applications.
Computer projection, and overhead projection will be available as standard facilities for all oral presentations. Authors giving their talk by computer projection are requested to deliver their presentation in a .ppt format on CD.

POSTERS
Two poster sessions are planned. Posters will be displayed in portrait format and should be prepared to fit within a 95 cm (width) x 110 cm (height) panel.
CONFERENCE PROCEEDINGS
Accepted Conference Papers will be published on the conference website and on a CD-ROM which will be sent to send to participants a few weeks after the end of conference.
MANUSCRIPTS FOR X-RAY SPECTROMETRY
The authors of around 25 selected contributions
(chosen by an editorial board appointed by the International
Advisory Committee) will be invited to prepare their contribution as
a full length article for a special issue of the journal
X-ray Spectrometry.
Papers selected for XRS will be those which in the opinion of the editorial board best represent the present state of the PIXE technique and applications. These full length articles will
be refereed to XRS standards by one referee selected by the
organisers and one selected by the XRS editors.
Manuscripts of papers selected for publication in XRS should reach the Conference Secretary by Friday 3rd September 2010. The copy deadline for XRS is Wednesday 2nd March 2011 for publication in Spring 2011.
All delegates will receive a copy of the XRS special issue.
